Born and raised in Arkansas, a life-long fascination with rivers and trout fishing led Jeff McKay to pick up a paint brush in 1998 and attempt painting trout.  With no formal art education but a strong desire to paint, he spent three years teaching himself watercolors.  After many frustrating attempts, his style and unique use of colors began to develop and show promise.

Jeff expresses his passion for fly fishing through bold watercolors of trout, flies and angling themes.  He makes his home in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, where he fishes the world-famous White River, Norfork River and Little Red River.  Jeff and his wfie, Sandra, have five sons and one daughter.  When not painting in his studio, he can be found on the river teaching his kids the art of fly fishing.
